Ancient coastal watchtower, it was located at the entrance to the Candiano port area (at the time south of Ravenna). It is currently located in the countryside between Classe (RA) and the sea, visible from the right bank of the Fiumi Uniti proceeding towards the sea and from the Classe pine forest not far from the Ortazzo naturalistic area. Commissioned by Cardinal Legate Paolo Savelli and designed by architect Pietro Azzoni, it was built in 1670
