Drone-Pictures recently completed the full 3D modelling of Château Charleval, in the Bouches-du-Rhône region, using drone-based photogrammetry.
This cutting-edge technology enabled us to reconstruct the monument and its park with centimetric precision, from over 2,800 aerial and ground images, generating a textured 3D model of nearly 200 million faces.
The result: a highly accurate digital twin, designed for the enhancement, documentation, and preservation of this remarkable architectural heritage.
This mission demonstrates how drone photogrammetry has become an essential tool for:
3D modelling and BIM projects, Topographic surveys and construction monitoring, And the promotion of cultural and historical landmarks.

Modélisation 3D du Château Charleval (13) par drone – Une mission technique au service du patrimoine !
Drone-Pictures a récemment réalisé la modélisation 3D complète du Château Charleval, dans les Bouches-du-Rhône, à l’aide de la photogrammétrie par drone.
Cette technologie nous a permis de reconstituer avec une précision centimétrique le monument et son parc, à partir de plus de 2 800 images aériennes et au sol, générant un modèle texturé de près de 200 millions de faces.
Le résultat : un jumeau numérique fidèle et exploitable, destiné à la valorisation, la documentation et la préservation du patrimoine architectural.
Cette mission illustre comment la photogrammétrie par drone s’impose comme un outil incontournable pour : la modélisation 3D et le BIM, les relevés topographiques et le suivi de chantiers, ou encore la mise en valeur du patrimoine culturel.
