The 2023 AirVuz Drone Video of the Year is underway with bigger and better prizes
The 2023 AirVuz Drone Video of the Year contest is back, and it’s accepting entries now until Dec. 31. This year, AirVuz is teaming up with SkyPixel (that’s the DJI-affiliated online photo community) to offer winners prizes with over a $2,000 value.
Thanks to the new collaboration with DJI SkyPixel, this year’s prize packages are high value — and unsurprisingly come from DJI.
Among the items up for grabs are one DJI Mavic 3 Pro Fly More Combo with DJI RC, three DJI Mini 4 Pro with RC 2, one DJI Goggles 2+, and DJI O3 Air Units.
Just as SkyPixel is a massive DJI photo community, AirCuz is another large community, primarily centered around FPV flying. With the merger of the two groups comes the potential for a massive contest.
“Competitors for this year’s Drone Video of the Year contents include many of the world’s top aerial videographers and FPV pilots, using drones for movies, TV shows, concerts, sporting events, and other high-profile assignments,” said Mike Israel, CEO and President of AirAuz.
The 2023 AirVuz Drone Video of the Year contest will feature nominees and winners from the weekly AirVuz Drone Video of the Week and FPV Pilots to Watch contests throughout 2023. For example, creators like JohnnyFPV and Jay “Jaybyrd” Christensen are among the eligible participants this year. Some past winners include Dronie, Realm FPV Freestyle Flow, and more. Check out some past winners here.
The competition not only brings the best of the best drone pilots together to compete for the ultimate prize but also an impressive panel of judges, but we are probably biased. Our very own, The Drone Girl, Sally French will be a judge this year for the 2023 AirVuz Drone Video of the Year.
AirVuz contest categories and prizes
There are three major categories for the 2023 AirVuz Drone Video of the Year contest. For the first category, Drone Video of the Year, there is one first prize winner and three runner-up prizes. Only one winner is selected for the second category, FPV Video of the Year.
Finally, the last category is People’s Choice. Eligible videos will include some of the most ‘engaged with’ videos through the year on AirVuz.
A panel of judges will vote on videos in each category to decide on the winners.
How to enter the 2023 AirVuz contest
All drone content creators are encouraged to upload their videos to AirVuz before Dec. 31, 2023, to be eligible for both Drone Video of the Year and FPV Video of the Year.
You will have to create an account on Airvuz.com to submit, along with a username. Once you do, you’ll be directed to upload your media file or a link via YouTube or Vimeo.
Here is the link to upload your best drone video for the chance to win.
Any drone videos that have already been uploaded to AirVuz.com are automatically eligible for the 2023 AirVuz Drone Video of the Year contest. And of course, all drone videos should be the content creator’s original work.
Judging takes place in January 2024. All winners will be announced in February 2024 on AirVuz.com or social media, @airvuz on Instagram.
We can’t wait to see your 2023 drone videos!
